A term used in video games when an item or character is changed for the better.
Swain in League of Legends, needs to be buffed .
1. (adjective) muscular and good-looking
2. (noun, verb) in video gaming:
2.1. a temporary effect in a game that makes a character or something else more powerful (an opposite to debuff)
2.2. a change by a game developer to some element of the game to make it more powerful (an opposite to nerf)
Adam is so buff, all the girls drool over him!
Then the boss casts an aoe dispel magic, dropping all our buffs -- and the next thing we know, it's a total party kill!
Since Valve buffed that Crusader's Crossbow, it actually became a somewhat viable choice!
Buff means fine, it'll buff means it'll be fine
