Steve: Could you isolate the variable on that?
John: You know it. She's huge, but those are some mighty fine sweater cows.
Bill: You see that?!?!
James: You serious? She's hideous.
Bill: C'mon you gotta isolate the variable.
James: You right. She needs to turn back around though.
A type of school detention that is much worse than regular detention. I have gotten this before, so let me explain what it's like. This only exists in certain schools btw.
Isolation Detention is basically like being locked in a small room with nothing but a chair or desk. The walls are completely white, but the floor would usually be tiled or carpet. You'd basically be locked in there until the principal says you can leave. It's dead silent, and you only hear the school board talking outside (depends on where the room is located) and yourself breathing. The room feels like solitary confinement, and the only way you could get this punishment is committing theft on school property or something similar.
I got isolation detention for stealing 3 computers and a girl's phone. You don't want to end up like me.

(n.)
1. When a person has an opinion that is different than/opposes the popular opinion, but everyone except that person follows the popular opinion, creating an isolation of that person in the opinion's subject matter because there is barely anyone else that follows/ agrees with the person's opinion or a similar opinion.
Ex: "Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash are better than Super Paper Mario and TTYD (The Thousand Year old Door)."
I feel opiniotive isolation because I think water tastes better evaporated.
The cousin who is never able to hangout with his or her other cousins and family members. This can be due to family issues/drama
“why don’t we ever see chloe?”
“Oh, shes the isolated cousin”
Alienated from the current political atmosphere or from one's previous political affiliations, and struggling to identify with any political party or ideology. Another word for "politically homeless" that does not appropriate a word corresponding to a marginalized group of people. Not to be confused with centrism.
I used to support the Republican Party but after Trump, I became politically isolated.
To get consumers to go buy things,
via the media,
corporations make individuals feel
so superior to most people
they feel disgusted of others
and stop interacting with them.
The glorification of movie stars, and the innate—it seems—cognitive bias that makes everyone think they're better than almost everyone else, help induce "consumer self-isolation".
The Isolation Room Show
The show you didn’t ask for with a host you’ve never heard of and opinions you frankly couldn’t care less about.
Them: Did you see the Isolation Room Show last night?
You: NO!
