Abercrombie and fitch

a clothing store. Nothing more nothingn less. It may be over priced but the clothes are quality. Just because you can't afford a 40 dollar shirt doesnt mean you should bash people for wearing it.

Abercrombie and fitch

Started back in 1892, originally called Abercrombie & Co., Sold hunting gear, mainly african themed. Some years later, a lawer named Ezra Fitch, a lawyer and frequent customer to Abercrombie, joined partnership. Thus starting Abercrombie and Fitch. Abercrombie and Fitch was THE store to buy anything- Be it a toothbrush or a foot stool. However, overtime, the sales slowly dropped and Abercrombie and Fitch went into a Regression. Around 1996 I believe Abercrombie & Fitch was bought out by a Bigger clothing manufacturer, and started producing clothes. Their sales sky rocketed, and have been up ever since. In current times, Abercrombie and Fitch is the drinking pool for Popular, rich american youth. From items priced at $9.90 to $198.00, you can pretty much find anything; Flip flops, jeans, shirts, colonge, hell- even backpacks and postcards. Subjected to Ridicule, most people fail to see the point of Abercrombie and Fitch. Yes, it sells pre-ripped jeans and faded shirts, because that is the current style. No, they have not always sold ripped jeans, but they have people working around the clock to follow trends. People who whine and complain about Abercrombie usually cannot afford or access the store, so they poke fun at it. However, they are completely ignorant and oblivious to such Brands as D&G, and A|X, which ACTUALLY sell T-shirts for $100. So, let people who love Abercrombie simply love Abercrombie. Speaking from personal opinion, i made the switch from Surf clothes and such to Abercrombie because of the comfort and durability. So, I leave you with this ancient proverb. "Buy cheap, get cheap." p.s. for those who banter "stop shopping at Abercrombie and go to laCoste" needs to drown. LaCoste, like Abercrombie, is made in Sweat shops, but sells for about $40 more per polo shirt then Abercrombie. But then again, maybe you've never been into Saks Fifth before.

My grandmother owns Abercrombie and Fitch rhinoskin footstool set - no joke. "Where did you get that cute skirt?" "Oh, it came from abercrombie and fitch." "You're wearing Abercrombie?! What, did you pay $100 for that shirt?!" "Uh, no, I payed 15 dollars for it." "Lolz guyz, letz make fun of dem abercrombie fags lolz" "yayuh, they payed 100 dollars for ripped jeans." "hey, want to go buy a trench coat from hot topic? they're onsale for $210" "Lolz, sure man dat be cheap"

Abercrombie and fitch

Okay this needs a good definition. For starters the clothes aren't even close to expensive, however they are overpriced. Also they aren't preppy what so ever. So if you go there and think you are awesome, preppy, or rich you are wrong. 1. You are not awesome because you like to fit in with everyone else 2. Preppy is NOT tight fitting clothes that are poorly made and have words written all over it. Preppy is lacoste, vineyard vines, jcrew, raulph lauren, sperry top sider. Sorry to ruin it for you but you are the opposite of a prep. 3. Abercrombie is a VERY cheap brand. The reason anyone would think it is expensive is because you havnt seen the prices at vineyard vines, lacoste etc.

Kid 1: I'm so rich and preppy because I spend all my money on abercrombie and fitch clothes! I even spent 30 dollars for a shirt! Kid 2: really? I just spent 80 dollars on a polo from lacoste... Kid 1: oh.

Abercrombie and Fitch

You're nothing if you're not Perfect...

First off, I used to work as an in store model in the London store of Abercrombie and Fitch. I didn't go for the job because i loved the store or the clothes(actually i'd never even been in!), i got scouted and thought i'd have a go as i need some extra money. At the interveiw/casting we had our pictures taken and then sat in a group and were asked questions. One of which was "why do you think diversity is important in the work place?"i answered the question and didn't give it another thought until I got the job and went for the training day. We sat in a small room waiting to start and i look around. Every single girl in the room was over 5'8", thin and gorgeous. Every guy was muscular tanned and very attractive. As the day went on and the rules came out it got more and more clear that they didn't want even the tinest bit of diversity. They have a mold and the expect you to stick to it. Everyday before you work you are checked by the "visual" team. If they deem you unfit to take the floor, you get put in the stock room underground. I completely agree with some of the people saying "it's just a store! let people wear what they want!" but at the end of the day it's not. It's a brand image that makes kids believe you're nothing if you're not perfect.

ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH

A popular clothing store usually more trendy than is fashionable(but then again, fashion is subjective). Villified by some, and loved equally by others. Lovers are usually characterized by various stereotypes including "preps", "jocks", "cheerleaders" and being "popular" and claims that the brand is "stylish". They say that haters are jealous because they can afford $75 jeans while forgetting that fact that designer denim(which cost upwards of more than $100) is more fashionable and highly regarded than mall jeans. Haters on the other hand are characterized by various stereotypes of various countercultures including, but not limited to "goths", "emos", "skaters", "punks" and "being different". They often consider AnF as sheep clothing, claim that preps who wear them aren't really real preps in the traditional sense while completely forgetting that words change and goth used to mean the barbarians of Western Europe, etc, etc. Both sides should stop taking this thing so seriously, all of them(that should include me and I should not have added this entry because that makes me no different from any of you), are all sheeps of thier respective "cultures". Both are walking stereotypes and are no different from each other. Incorporate AnF into your wartdrobe. It wouldnt hurt, maybe just your ego. But at the same time, don't just wear AnF exclusively. You look cheap, go buy some real designer stuff, not some mass produced crap all the time.

I wear raw denim and people don't know what it is so I feel better about myself because I am oh so cool. But only I know it. ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH and Hot Topic have some interesting clothes but not all and I love browsing there and taunt the sheeps in my head to make me feel better about myself.
