<negative third person singular> Chiefly American Colloquial Contraction A single word that is equivalent to other words such as: 1) Am not 2) Are not 3) Is not ==> Most likely originated in the Southern States of America as it flows easily with their accent but has now been used in many places around the world.

This a word some people use and don't because they think it is not a word. Well I\for your information it is its just a formal saying of am not or are not. I believe it is a word and it is been added to the dictionary so it is automatically a word. I aint going to let people say it aint a word.
