To hold on and not give up. To say I'm hanging in there could mean that you're just all right or it could imply something deeper. For example, the person may be going through some rough times, but they're still holding on and living.
Basically a way of saying that you are all right, but could be better.
A: How's it going man?
B: I'm hanging in there
It means that you are ok... not good, not bad.
Person 1: Hey, how are you?
Person 2: Hey, I'm hanging in there. How about you?
It means that you are ok... not good, not bad.

It means your pants are too loose and you have a boner.
"Are your pants too loose?"
"Yea, I'm hanging in there."
