Something you say when you don't actually respect what the other person said
Person 1: I already told you I just want to be friends, nothing more Person 2: I can respect that
When someone has the outmost respect for what you’re saying and wants you to be comfortable. Usually used by someone who cares greatly about what is being discussed or at hand.
Person 1: I need some time to think over things, give me a bit before I respond. Person 2: I can respect that, take your time.
