KOD, also known as Kill your demons is a phrase some say when deciding to start over or to rid yourself of negative energy.
Mostly used by a select few who listen to J. Cole's music, in reference to his latest project KOD, KYD can be used in the same way, however more personally and directed towards an outward person within a conversation.
Person 1: Man I've been feeling down lately
Person 2: Fam, you've got to KYD man and unwind
Person 1: KYD?
Person 2: Kill your demons

Person 1: Yo have you listened to some of Syd Tha Kyd's new tracks yet?
Person 2: No not yet, but I've listened to Flashlight. Serious dope man.
Person 1: Agreed.
