Lots or lot means `more than one.` If you were describing the fact that you have many friends, you'd say, "I have a lot (lots) of friends!"

EX -- "There are lots of birds today!"

That’s a lot! — an expression that conveys the experience of being overwhelmed when confronted by an intense Person, Event, Timings, or Situation (P.E.T.S). Another way of saying: “DA FUQ!!!!!?????”
