A fork of Rural Dictionary
The name of the natives of Massachusetts Bay, as well as their language. This is where Massachusetts got its name from. The first bible in North America was written in Natick,MA, in the Massachusett language, because publishing english bibles in the 13 colonies was illegal at the time. The language is often referred to as Wampanoag because the Wampanoag tribe in Plymouth spoke Massachusett as well. Crispus Attucks(the first man to get killed in the Boston Massacre) was a Massachusett from Natick.

State where I was born, live in, and mostly likely will die in. The best state in the United States. It is a cold place in the winter months but never gets too hot and it is not as heavily taxed as most states these days, it is 34th out of 50 making the Taxachusetts insult obsolete now. It has more culture than the rest of New England, great universities, and an exstensive amount of history.
Massachusetts was the sixth state to join the Union.
