On The Tosh

'On The Tosh' is a phrase used to describe being on a heavy drinking session. The term originates from the English TV police series 'The Bill' which featured a character called 'Tosh Lines' (played by Kevin Lloyd). In real life Kevin Lloyd was a famously hard drinker, who at one point escaped from a rehabilitation clinic only to be found drinking in the pub across the road. Kevin died of alcohol poisoning in May 1998.
