A fork of Rural Dictionary
An economic environment of low, near-zero inflation.
Wow, unemployment isn't necessarily high and I inflation is super low; I would describe this as an example of stagflation.
(n.) A period characterized by high inflation and stagnated economic growth. Ability to use this word in a sentence inevitably labels you an economist, and therefore a nerd.
"... and this decade unfortunately showed us a period of stagflation ..."
"NERD!!"
The state of being economically fucked.
Unemployment is high, and so is inflation. Increasing economic production will reduce unemployment, BUT push inflation even higher. Reducing economic production will reduce inflation, but put more people out of work.
What am I supposed to do about this stagflation?
I dunno. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, really.
Being drunk and high at the same time. Derived from the original term: stagflation, meaning high unemployment AND high inflation. The person that is writing this is currently stagflated.
Isabelle: Dude, you’re drunk as fuck.
Philip: Nah man, i’m stagflated.
A period of extremely slow economic growth, if any, and extremely high unemployment, while prices continue to rise, all of which are above normal crises levels.
If Obama continues to print and spend fiat money (regardless of the deficit) and that money permeates the economy and does not create jobs, we will eventually experience hyper stagflation.
