A picture taken of just the two of you and your friend, you and your significant other, or you and someone else with the intention of uploading directly or manually to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Myspace, Vine, and any other similar social networks or photo upload capable website.
Both of you will be mirroring each other's acts, poses, silliness, or facial expressions as if twins. One of you will be usually holding the camera with your arms stretched out to take the picture (part of arm stretched out can usually be seen in pictures taken).
At rare occasions, twinsies may be taken using a tripod or through the help of a passer-by.
