The members of our population with totally "non-human" or "wild animal" mindsets (think, Rockefeller-type multi-billionaires, big-biz leaders, government bureaucrats, drug lords, etc.) who "live high on the hog" themselves, but who subject the rest of us to great stress and unfair toil merely to support their unhealthy greed for wealth and power.
They say that the top 1% of the human population controls half of the world's wealth --- seems like these "rich bugs" view all of us as mere beasts of burden to labor and provide for their own selfish luxury and arrogant feelings of control.
Someone who carries anothers burdens, insecurities, or issues. This comes from the term for an animal used to transport goods or conduct hard labor such as an ox.
A beast of burden is not an ugly person or someone who causes burden as it has been incorrectly define before.
