chale

The most chilango word you will ever hear, next to "chido". Chale is "damn" in english, it originated in Chilangolandia aka Mexico City and it became popular all over Mexico because it was frequently used in teenage soap operas. So any Mexican that migrates to the US will be using it, and the chicanos will be claiming it was originated in California.

Mexican1: Chale, I just got jumped... Mexican2: That´s because you´re a Chilango!
