The act of briefly dancing up against a stranger as you cross the dance floor in a club.

Another way to say no lie, or to say that you are not kidding.

An 1970s/early 1980s slang word for saying someone is trying to deceive or lie to you. It could also be used as a way to say "he/she's just kidding around!". It can be used in a positive or negative context. Usually used a lot in the American Television series "Good times", also used in the well known song from the Bee Gees "Jive Talkin" Jiving means lying, trying to deceive, or kidding around.
Person 1: "I got the job!" Person 2: "Man, You jivin'!" or Person 1:" i got the clothes done" Person 2: "stop jiving! i know you didn't!"

Second Jive Dude : What it is, big mama? My mama no raise no dummies. I dug her rap! Jive Lady : Cut me some slack, Jack! Chump don' want no help, chump don't GET da' help! First Jive Dude : Say 'e can't hang, say seven up! Jive Lady : Jive dude don't got no brains anyhow! Hmmph!
