A completely worthless conversation, wherein nothing is illuminated, explained or otherwise elaborated upon. Typically occurs at parties, bars or other events where meaningful conversation is nearly impossible.
Smith: What a waste of time it is talking to that guy. Jones: I know, every time I do, it's like a complete nonversation.
The type of conversation held with another person when you really do not wish to talk to them. It consists of short and to the point replies which do not add to the conversation and make it hard for the other person to continue. It is usually to try and convey politely that you do not have the time for this oxygen thief who insists on bothering you.
A typical nonversation goes as follows- "So how are you today?" "Okay." "What have you been up to?" "Not much."
When two people are speaking but neither side of the conversation has anything to do with the other.
Typical nonversation: Woman, "Hey, hows' it goin'?" Man, "Not too bad." Woman, "Did you get a haircut?" Man, "No." Woman, "Looks good."
A conversation where tons is said but no one actually speaks.

A nonversation is simply a conversation with someone who you do not wish to talk with, therefore using as many one word answers as possible, hoping that they get the hint.
Librarian: So hav you read many books this year? Schoolboy: Uhmm....No Librarian: Oh...did you at least finish that book set for your school project? Schoolboy: Ye Librarian: Did it take you long? Schoolboy: about a week......i gtg (runs really fast in opposite direction) Schoolboy: Man...that was the worst nonversation i evr had! Friend: Really i find the librarian really nice to talk with (all other kids stare)
A word used in the presence of others in reference to a conversation which you either will not or can not admit ever occurred. Commonly used in written form (email), but occasionally used in a conversation.
Hey Joe, I was thinking about our nonversation on the train last night. Your're right Jim is a clown.
A late night conversation without any purpose.
Monica almost fell asleep during our nonversation last night. Mike has to stop wasting all of his time with those nonversations.
