Oppa is a word used by korean females to address male older than them who they are close to (biological or not).

It's often used in a romantic relationship when a girl refers to her boyfriend (or the girl hitting on a guy) who is older/same age as her.

Oppa literally means "older brother"

The male version of this word is hyung.

Do you want to go on a date with me oppa?

I told oppa that I'll come home early today.

1. actual word in Korean for older boy/big brother-type that idiot white kids have turned into a racial slur.

2. sign you're talking to a white kid who thinks appropriating Asian culture is cool and not offensive cause they're into K-Pop and J-Pop. Often paired with an adjective ("one sexy oppa" = hot guy, "curdled milk oppa" = ugly guy, etc.)

"Kim Hyung Joong is my favorite oppa!" said the white kid who rapes Asian culture.

Oppa is used in Korean culture by a female to a male, who is older than her by the boundary of 10 years. Female's use this title for their older brother, older male friend, or even in a flirtatious way.

"Oppa~ You promised me yesterday that we'd go to the beach, remember?" ^-^
