In the realm of interwebs, there are posts and there are poasts. A post can only become a poast once it has reached the relative hotness of toast. In other words, if it is popular.

Same as post or posting as a message or a commentary posted on an internet forum. Poast instead of post follows the same pattern of transcribing "ou" diphthong as "oa" as in moar instead of more.

(verb) A blend of the words "post" and "poach". It is used in the context of securely releasing content to followers on a distributed network. This practice serves as a countermeasure against "internet poaching", the unauthorized removal of online content. Similar to "seeding", but specifically targeted towards persistent identities.

Usage: Person 1: Dude, did you see the Broncos game last night? I found it on YouTube, but it vanished before I could even watch it. Person 2: Yeah man, I was on Trill, that new social media app. Followed this guy "urbit-sportsjunky" who dropped a link. Person 1: A link? Like I said, that stuff gets taken down instantly. Person 2: Usually, yeah. But this guy, he poasted it. Followers got his message directly. All encrypted. Person 1: So a dead link? You can't watch it if it's yanked from YouTube or Twitch, right? Person 2: Nah, it's all different here. Once you're a follower, you're authenticated. You can download a copy directly from his computer to yours. Person 1: No way, straight up peer-to-peer video? Person 2: Yep. All you need is the bandwidth, dude.

A post someone makes on social media to deliberately boast about something which has happened to them.

"Oh look, Emma's poasting about her holiday again" "Don't worry, he's just being a poaster."

Boastful post that make the poster feel better about themselves, but for whom other can't care less.

"Aren't you sick of Rick's poasts? That guy must have really low self-esteem"
