A day that is a total failure. Origin is July 15, 2015, when Amazon.com created a fake holiday advertised to rival Black Friday where it completely over promised and under delivered.
Me: "Man sorry I couldn't make it to your bachelor party - my wife's appendix burst and we were in the hospital all night." Friend: "You got lucky - it was a total disaster, I got stabbed by the stripper, she stole my wallet and now I have a rash!" Me: "Prime Day!" Friend: "Pretty much"
An utterly disappointing day. One which likely had a lot of hype and build up leading up to the day, but ultimately failed to deliver on its promises or live up to one's expectations.
Damn, I waited in line for hours to buy my new phone and now it turns out that the thing is totally lame, apps are lagging, and it keeps dropping calls. This has been a total prime day!
The feeling of having a bad day to worst day ever.
Today was such a Prime Day. My boss just fired me. Girlfriend dumped me. But at least I saved 15% on my insurance by switching to GEICO. Can happy hour come any sooner?
Having a massively disappointing day. Just as Amazon.com disappointed the masses on Prime Day 2015 ("Black Friday in July").
