To shout to the devil is to do something that you obviously believe makes you seem cool, or above others, when it in fact, is not.
"Oh my god, I just drank a whole half of a fifth of vodka before school," said Mia.
"Wow, Mia, shout to the devil," said Mark.
A phrase one may use to "punk" a friend who as just done/said something making them look/sound like a hardass.
Often used while simultaneously flashing a "rock on" sign to the offender.
friend 1: why werent you at school today?
friend 2: oh, I got suspended for being drunk, high, and punching a teacher
friend 1: shout to the devil!
