A fork of Rural Dictionary
Kind of a non-sensical or silly reply to an insignificant idea or event. Could be used as sarcasm. Considering wings are important to chickens to say something is insignificant by calling it a chicken wing, I think, makes the statement funnier.
(While driving) Greg: "That jackass cut me off!!" Peter: "Ain't no thing but a chicken wing." Jan: "I went out with John last night and I don't know if he likes me." Marsha: "You ain't no thing but a chicken wing."
Reminiscing, remembering fun times, remembering a time when life was more simple
We'd play hide-n-seek only after dark, back in the day. Back in the day, I could beat Mario Brothers in 10 minutes. Back in the day, I'd bug my sister 'til she ran to her bedroom bawling, then laugh hysterically.
The line was orginally used is the hit TV show The Brady Bunch. The character Jan was complaining Marsha, her sister, was getting all the attention at a party and got so upset that she whined "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!" Primary definition: A whiny dramatic response by someone who is jealous of another person. The name Marsha could be changed with the name of any person you're mad at. Secondary: Could be used as sarcastic reply or to make light of a seemingly ridiculous situation.
Lucy: "My sister always gets to sit in the front seat." Gina: "Marsha Marsha Marsha!" Amber: "My sister never shares the phone with me!" Heather: "Marsha Marsha Marsha!"
