A meter ruler refers to an unusually uber-long fore finger that is pointing or being wagged at the end of an out stretched arm, giving the impression of an extremely authorotitive person.

Gert refers to masculine women of a certain age that have a penchant for utility tools and sensible, practicle accessories. Originally adopted from Gertrude Stein, best-selling feminist and lesbian literature guru. Gerts will often come and rescue you when you are in danger and have a habit of commandeering situations while wagging their meter ruler. Can also be used as a verb. To Gert of somewhere.

A sensible and useful pen-knife that can be used for an array of things as well as fishing. Comes in particularly handy when trying to break into public facilities in a country where you don't speak the language but can infer that a pretty lady is about to soil herself.
