A different way of saying thanks. Probably derived from the Afrikaans word "Dankie" which also means thanks.

To say thank you when something good happens, or you can just shout it out to show you're in a good mood. Originated in Southie/South Africa.
I passed the exam! Danko is thank you!
Comes from The Fifth Element, where Leeloo says "danko" after receiving new clothes from the priest's assistant. Means "thank you", but can be said randomly.
