The way you're supposed to use a sniper in Call of Duty.

This term is applied when playing first-person shooter video games, such as Halo, Call of Duty, or another top selling video game title, more specifically Call of Duty.
When someone is using a sniper rifle, and takes longer than approximately 1 second looking down the scope.
A more extreme example is when watching a kill-cam, the player is scoped in from beginning to end, or the player is looking through the scope for the majority or the kill cam.
Antonym: Quickscope
Player A: "Guys, check out this nice headshot i got for the game winning kill!"
Player B: "Wow that shot wasn't impressive at all, you hardscoped the shit out of that kid."
Player C: "Dude, you're such a noob."
To expend high amount of energy; to work tirelessly towards a goal.

Call of Duty Hardscopers are people that don't know how to use the sniper CORRECTLY. so they think it is right to scope in and wait the whole game until an enemy walks by. so after the hardscoper kills someone, he becomes happy and feels like a super sniper pro hero. when he gets a hitmarker with the sniper, he gets mad and insults people for no reason. sniping hardscopers are kids and squeakers of hell. when the hardscoper likes you, he will send you an invitation to hardscope together. if you do that, you will be kicked by ALL MLG clans OF CALL OF DUTY.
Call of Duty Hardscopers are a community of Kids and squeakers of hell. they do not have any skills with the sniper.
this means that it has a technique to keep their crosshair until they see a player walk towards to crosshair or the player waits the player.
Player 1: man, bros using the hardscope technique what a loser!
Player 2: i agree, hardscoping is for skill issues
