Quite an interesting town in the Blue Mountains, which houses among others, westies, junkies, hippies, "artists".Most people are in a band or trying to form one. Katoomba also functions as a kind of nursing home for burn outs from Newtown.
Let's stop off at Katoomba to see the Winter Magic Festival on our way to Byron Bay.

a place in the blue mountains where the youth either smoke weed or plays guitar. famed for its trees. it has a shitty rail system and plenty of gang fights. everyone goes to penrith all the time cause theres nothing to do in katoomba. everyone is too anal about preserving trees and the environment and shit so all the youth just break shit, smoke, play guitar, etc.
