A term used maliciously by stuck-up, arrogant, ingnorant jerks from the South and West Sides of Springfield, Illinois to describe their stereotyped veiw of residents of the Northend. Generally, the term is not true. The term stems from the fact that the people on the South and West Sides are GENERALY stuck-up, conceded rich bastards and trust-fund babies (or about as close as they can get in Springfield)and they wish to be-little those that don't have as much money as they do. The reasoning (in my opinion) for this name-calling is because the so-called NEWTS don't seem to care that the Southenders and West Siders are more affluent and well-off financially.
The term NEWT is usually meant to be offensive but many North Enders ussually laugh off or ignore the term, some acctully embrace the term. There is also a term for West Enders: WEB, or West End Bitch/Bastard
(adj) : acronym for Northeast White Trash: someone who was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia but relocates to a trashy house in Wildwood, NJ for the summer rented from a woman named handschuh aka handjob, often refers to themselves and their friends as NEWTs, can also be called shiesty.

English slang deriving from the expression pissed as a newt. It, along with the expression from which it is derived, is used to described someone who has enjoyed more alcoholic refreshment than is good for them. This has left them inebriated to the extent that they fail to recognise themselves in a mirror and have lost perspective, decency and bladder control.

Noun. He's a character from the popular series "The Maze Runner." By James Dashner. He is named after Issac Newton, the man who discovered Gravity. In the book he is described as tall blonde and muscular with a limp which is later brought back up again in "The Death Cure." Played by Thomas Brodie- Sangster in the blockbuster film with Dylan O'brien, he has an English accent and throws the word "bloody" into places where is sometimes doesn't belong. Newt is a crucial character to the plot in every single book. He was one of the origanl gladers in the maze and works in the garden. He doesn't like going against any of the rules set by Alby, who assinged him to be in charge when he isn't around.
