Trans individuals who believe you need some sort of dysphoria to be trans, mild or not unlike tucutes who believe anyone can be trans and being trans is a choice.

Truscum also known as transmedicalists are a commonly misunderstood community on Tumblr. They follow the medical definition of transsexualism i.e that it's a medical condition and that you need sex dysphoria to be trans.

A truscum is a (usually trans) person who believes that you need dysphoria to be trans. It's an archaic argument which seeks cis approval instead of holding trans people up. A lot of truscum have extreme internalised transphobia, which they take out on other trans people who they see as 'transtrenders'.

A person who believes only those who have dysphoria and/or medically transition are "real transgender" and others are trans simply to be trendy. Truscum will say "gender is dead" like a white racist saying they are "race blind". Most appropriate socialism or other progressive ideologies simply for power. All are terminally online. Truscum will mock your pronouns and call you slurs. But like all other gatekeepers, they are desperate people looking for something to cling on.
